Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) and production variances (material, labor, overhead).
Conduct profitability analysis by product line, customer, and production process.
2. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
Track and analyze production costs (raw materials, inks, packaging substrates).
Implement standard costing and variance analysis for printing/packaging operations.
Work with production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities (waste reduction, efficiency improvements).
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with department heads.
Prepare financial forecasts based on production schedules and market trends.
Monitor budget vs. actual performance and report deviations.
4. Inventory & Fixed Asset Management
Oversee inventory valuation (FIFO, weighted average) and reconciliation.
Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) tracking for machinery and equipment.
Ensure proper depreciation schedules for printing/packaging assets.
5. Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors for year-end financial audits.
Maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
6. Tax & Regulatory Filings
Prepare and file VAT, GST, corporate tax returns, and other statutory reports.
Handle transfer pricing documentation (if applicable for international transactions).
Stay updated on tax incentives for manufacturing businesses.
7. ERP & Financial Systems
Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Enterprise) for accounting entries.
Automate financial reporting and cost tracking where possible.
Support integration between production and accounting systems.
8. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
Supervise junior accountants and accounts payable/receivable staff.
Streamline accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Implement data-driven financial insights to support management decisions.
Skills & Qualifications
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or CMA/CPA certification (preferred).
✔ 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, printing, or packaging.
✔ Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
✔ Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
✔ Understanding of tax regulations impacting manufacturing businesses.
✔ Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Preferred Experience (Bonus)
Experience in job costing for custom printing/packaging orders.
Knowledge of export/import accounting (if dealing with international clients).
Familiarity with sustainability reporting (carbon footprint, waste management costs).
